Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Red Light Registry (“RLR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the RLR Main App and RLR Media Marketplace (together, the “Platform”). By creating an account, accepting these Terms at signup, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms do not cover the separate WordPress marketing site, which has its own terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use RLR. Age confirmation is mandatory at signup and there is no path around it. By using the Platform you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate. RLR is an adults-only platform; access by anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited.

Registration is free. No payment or credit card is required to register, browse, or create a page. You may browse as a guest without an account.

Email verification is required before you can publish any content.

Identity verification. Every provider profile type (Independent, Agency/Venue, Consultant, Media Professional) must complete identity verification through Stripe Identity before its page can go public. A provider page cannot go live until verification status is Verified; unverified pages exist only in your dashboard. A one-time identity-verification fee of $1.50 (charged at cost) is collected during signup.

Account security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Accurate information. You agree to provide truthful information and to keep it current.

The Platform supports the following roles: Visitor (Guest), Client (authenticated user), Independent, Agency/Venue, Consultant, Media Professional, and Admin (RLR staff). Available features and obligations depend on your role and subscription tier, as described in the Platform and in our Business Rules.

60-day free trial on annual plans only. When you subscribe to an Agency/Venue, Consultant, or Media Professional Pro plan on the annual (yearly) billing interval, Stripe starts a 60-day free trial before the first charge. Monthly Pro plans have no free trial and bill immediately when you subscribe. Independent accounts are free forever and are not subject to Pro trial or page pause.

Independent accounts are free forever with no subscription and are not subject to the annual Pro trial or page pause. Independents only pay a platform commission on earnings (bookings, fan subscriptions, content-store sales, tips, and live-stream earnings) as described in Section 6.

Pro subscriptions are required to keep Agency/Venue, Consultant, and Media Professional provider pages public after the trial. Plans and pricing by profile type are shown in the app and in our Business Rules (for example Agency/Venue, Consultant, and Media Professional $49/mo or $409/yr). Plan feature limits (such as gallery, portfolio, drops, reviews, and job-listing caps) differ by tier and are described in the app.

Payment processor. Payments are processed by Stripe. RLR provides an in-app wallet for balances, top-ups, and withdrawals. RLR does not store full card numbers.

Renewals. Pro subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing tab.

Cancellation and no refunds. If you cancel a Pro subscription, your page remains live until the end of the current paid period, then is paused. We do not provide refunds or proration for partial subscription periods. This also applies to paused creators and to fan subscriptions and content access — access runs to the end of the paid period.

20% platform fee. RLR charges a 20% platform fee on bookings, fan subscriptions, content-store purchases, 1:1 Video Sessions, and live-stream tips. For example, on a $500 booking RLR retains $100 and the provider receives $400.

Escrow-style holds. Booking payments are held through Stripe until the service is completed, then released to the provider minus the platform fee.

Provider-set terms. Providers set their own services, pricing, deposits, availability, travel radius, approval type, and cancellation policy.

Cancellations and refunds on bookings follow the cancellation policy the provider selected (for example Strict, Flexible, or a Deposit model). The system auto-calculates refunds based on those preset rules; deposits may be non-refundable where the provider’s policy states so. Provider-set booking refund rules are separate from the no-refund rule on Pro subscriptions in Section 5.

Classified ads (Standard $25 / Featured $35, 7 days) are one-time, non-refundable purchases that auto-expire after 7 days.

You own your content. You retain ownership of the content you publish (profiles, media, posts, drops, listings, reviews, and messages). You grant RLR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Platform.

Your responsibility. You represent that you have all rights necessary to publish your content, that every person depicted is 18 or older and has consented, and that your content does not infringe anyone’s rights or violate any law.

Records. You agree to maintain any age and consent records the law requires for content you publish, and to provide them on lawful request.

Work-safe presentation. Public-facing text on the Platform uses neutral, dignified terminology. You agree not to use sensational, deceptive, or “Craigslist-style” listings or copy.

You agree not to:

• use the Platform if you are under 18, or facilitate access by minors, or publish content depicting or sexualizing anyone under 18;
• post content depicting any person who has not consented or who is not verified to be 18+;
• engage in human trafficking, coercion, non-consensual content, or any illegal activity;
• harass, threaten, impersonate, or defraud others;
• arrange the exchange of personal contact information inside 1:1 Video Sessions, or attempt to move escrowed transactions off-platform to avoid fees;
• circumvent payment, escrow, verification, or moderation systems;
• post false, misleading, or infringing content, or spam;
• scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Platform, or upload malicious code;
• record 1:1 Video Sessions where recording is disabled, or violate any applicable geo-restrictions.

Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or termination, and may be reported to authorities where required.

Every public object on the Platform (profile, ad, post, review, message, listing) includes a Report affordance that routes to RLR’s Admin moderation team. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We may also act on content proactively. Moderation decisions are made at our discretion, consistent with applicable law.

The Platform itself — including its software, design, branding, and the “Red Light Registry” name and logos — is owned by RLR or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use RLR’s branding except as needed to use the Platform.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@redlightregistry.com with the information required by applicable copyright law. We will respond to valid notices and may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.

The Platform relies on third-party services including Stripe and Stripe Identity (payments and identity), Google Cloud Platform (infrastructure), Google Places (location), and MailGun or SendGrid (email). Your use of those services through the Platform is also subject to their terms. RLR is not responsible for third-party services’ acts or omissions.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. RLR is a venue that connects users; we do not employ providers, do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any booking, service, content, or interaction, and are not a party to transactions between users. You use the Platform and transact with other users at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RLR and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RLR and its affiliates, officers, and staff from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Platform or its users. You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. Certain provisions (including content licenses for already-distributed content, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as expressly stated in these Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
